Here’s the super-short version of my bio, copied from Twitter in fact – it’s that short: Technical Evangelist @Amazon Web Services. Serious mountain biker, when I have the time. Husband to Lizzle all the time!
I joined Amazon Web Services in December 2013 as a Technical Evangelist covering the UK & Ireland. You can find some details of my activities at AWS on my LinkedIn profile, so connect with me there if you’re interested in keeping up to date with what I’m up to.
I hold the AWS Professional Solutions Architecture Certification and the and AWS SysOps Administrator Certification at Associate level and I am currently working on preparation for the Professional level SysOps certification.
Prior to joining AWS I spent just over 3 years at EMC building out the technology components of EMC’s Service Provider Alliances Program across the EMEA region. This including building and leading the pre-sales systems engineering function, Service Provider solutions development, technical marketing and evangelism.
Whilst I was at EMC I acheived their Cloud Computing Expert Level Architect Certification, EMCCAe. For the more complete version of my CV with a detailed career history, you can find my public profile on LinkedIn here. If you’re interested in more regular updates and news you can find me on Twitter here.
Here’s a good photo that illustrates the sort of thing that I like to do – Here I am speaking about the role of Cloud and IT Service Providers in the ‘New-IT’ at a Service Provider technology event in the Netherlands whilst I was with EMC in 2013. There are lots more speaking photos on my LinkedIn profile.
